  • WWII and post war. 1940s and 50s.
  • How shortwave radio was used in Europe for propaganda and communications. 
  • Strict limitations imposed by the governments of that time presented
    risks to people who listened to shortwave radio for news and information.

  • The discussion will include an example of one experimental station built by an EARS member in post-war Europe.
  • The presenters include:
    • Hans Mesch KC6QDE;
    • Fritz Woeller AD6JS;
    • Rolf Dethlefsen KC6HTR;
    • with Kurt Barnhart N6MD moderating the discussion. 
    The EARS meeting is this Thursday, March 14th at 7:00 PM. We meet on
    the third floor of the Pacific Western Bank located at 900 Canterbury
    Place in Escondido.  It is next to the Mercedes dealership.
